LIV GOLF LAS VEGAS

The historic Las Vegas Country Club recently played host to the highly anticipated LIV Golf Las Vegas tournament, marking the league’s first U.S. event of the 2024 season—and what an epic return to professional golf it was.

Las Vegas certainly was lit as the LIV Golf League made its presence known in The Neon Capital of the World, bringing with them a whirlwind of ridiculous talent, adrenaline, and unparalleled excitement.

From February 8th-10th, golf lovers witnessed a thrilling display as The Las Vegas Country Club transformed itself into a battleground for LIV Golf League’s elite—not to mention, the LIV debut of renowned golfer Jon Rahm on American soil. And, like so many others, the LIV Golf League star gushed in praise at the course, “Just very pure greens… the greens are fantastic.”

Well, we couldn’t agree more. LIV Golf shone a spotlight on The Las Vegas Country Club and the vibe was vibrant. Fans, members, players, and volunteers enjoyed every moment. The future met LVCC's deep history of professional golf and it was a perfect match.

Dustin Johnson Wins LIV Golf las Vegas 2024

Dustin Johnson won the individual title shooting a 1-under 69 to finish at 12-under 198, breaking out of a late six-way tie. Talor Gooch and Peter Uihlein finished second—exemplifying the league’s commitment to delivering a captivating narrative and showcasing top-tier golfing talent in iconic venues. In the team competition, Talor Gooch, Jason Kokrak, and Graeme McDowell led the Brooks Koepka-captained Smash GC to a seven-stroke victory over Johnson’s 4Aces GC.

The tournament’s atmosphere was absolutely electric, and fans enjoyed world-class golf in an almost festival-style experience. LIV Golf gambled (in the best place to do so) on debuting their first tournament of 2024 the same weekend as the Super Bowl, and we think they won.

It’s a new kind of golf, and LIV Golf brought their A-game to a course that rivals all others across the state—and it’s not just us who think so. Dustin Johnson’s impressive victory added yet another chapter to LIV Golf League’s commitment to modernizing and supercharging the wonderful world of golf. And surprise, surprise, neither he nor LIV Golf disappointed.

LIV Golf + The Las Vegas Country Club — A Match Made in Heaven

We can’t talk Vegas 2024 without the Party Hole. A fan favorite from previous tourneys, the private viewing, hospitality, and seating on the par-3 No.8 were just beyond.

As you can probably guess, the triumphant roar echoing from the crowd when DJ clinched first was astounding. He didn’t just shatter expectations, he solidified his status as a force to be reckoned with in the LIV Golf League. And, wherever you happened to be where you saw it, at home or on The Las Vegas Country Club’s traditional, tree-lined, and unmatched green, we know it was memorable.

Aside from the immersive action from Club 54, the Gallery Club, the Birdie Shack, and the cabanas, the experience truly underscores the demonstrative kudos of our course from the pros and LIV Golf’s commitment to making the sport accessible for all.

Youths, military personnel, students, teachers, first responders—honestly, all lovers of the sport in general—had the opportunity to view the action from first-class seats. Inclusivity and community engagement are what LIV Golf has always been about and ensuring the love of the game is instilled in all has always been the goal.

The LIV Golf League stars gushed in their praise at the course:

“I'd heard about this place before I'd arrived on property, and a lot of positive comments and they were quite accurate," said player and first-round leader Paul Casey. "The architecture and the conditioning of this place is second to none. This rivals other golf courses in the city and in Nevada. Maybe it doesn't get talked about quite as much, but I think it's got something very, very cool, a unique history, and guys are thoroughly enjoying playing it."
