The Las Vegas Country Club proudly hosted the highly anticipated LIV Golf Las Vegas tournament, marking the league’s first U.S. event of the 2024 season—and what an unforgettable return to professional golf it was.
Las Vegas lit up as the LIV Golf League made its presence known in The Neon Capital of the World, bringing with it a whirlwind of talent, adrenaline, and excitement.
From February 8–10, fans witnessed a thrilling showcase as The Las Vegas Country Club transformed into the battleground for LIV Golf’s elite—including the highly anticipated U.S. debut of Jon Rahm. Like so many others, Rahm was impressed: “Just very pure greens… the greens are fantastic.” We couldn’t agree more.
In true Vegas fashion, the finish was dramatic. Dustin Johnson captured the individual title with a 1-under 69, finishing 12-under 198 and breaking out of a late six-way tie. Talor Gooch and Peter Uihlein tied for second, while Johnson’s 4Aces GC finished runner-up in the team competition to Brooks Koepka’s Smash GC, led by Gooch, Jason Kokrak, and Graeme McDowell.
The atmosphere was electric. LIV Golf strategically staged its season opener on Super Bowl weekend—and it paid off. Fans enjoyed world-class golf in a festival-style setting that only Las Vegas could deliver.
From the raucous Party Hole at No. 8 to the cabanas, Birdie Shack, Gallery Club, and immersive Club 54, spectators were treated to a one-of-a-kind experience. The roar when Johnson clinched his win was deafening, echoing across LVCC’s traditional, tree-lined fairways.
Players were equally enthusiastic. First-round leader Paul Casey praised the venue: “The architecture and conditioning of this place is second to none. This rivals other golf courses in the city and in Nevada… a unique history, and guys are thoroughly enjoying playing it.”
True to LIV’s mission of accessibility, youths, students, teachers, military personnel, and first responders enjoyed the action from first-class seats. Inclusivity and community engagement remain at the heart of both LIV Golf and The Las Vegas Country Club.
